Kathryn was raised and educated in Northern Utah. She received a bachelor's degree in biology from Utah State and a masters degree in instructional design from the University of Utah. After a 20 year teaching career in Salt Lake City, she moved to West Yellwostone, Montana and spent 10 years as a self employed co-owner of a lodging and snowmobile rental business. She has spent the last 7 years involved in real estate in Island Park and the lower Henry's Fork River.
Kathryn first visited Island Park on a fishing trip in the 1970's and immediately fell in love with its beauty and small town feel. She purchased a little log cabin and started spending summers in Island Park in the 1980's. Fishing has been one of her passions since she was introduced to the sport by her grandfather. Island Park and its surrounding waters are heaven for anyone who fly fishes. She also enjoys cooking, quilting, and reading.
Currently she spends 6 months of the year at her Island Park cabin with her dogs and spends the remaining 6 months on the lower Henry's Fork River outside of St Anthony, Idaho.
